The Giusfredo Santini – Concais Passenger Terminal began operations on November 23, 1998, as the first private terminal at the Port of Santos exclusively for passenger embarkation and disembarkation. Concais is the largest Passenger Terminal in Latin America, covering an area of 41.9 thousand square meters. Initially designed to accommodate transatlantic vessels with 900 passengers, investments were made to currently support ships with up to 6,300 passengers.
Concais provides facilities for authorities involved in passenger and crew reception and security, including Customs, Federal Police, Civil Police, Port Guard, National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA), Ministry of Agriculture, and Maritime Agencies and Cruise Lines.
Furthermore, the infrastructure includes water supply, closed-circuit television (CCTV) system, scanners for carry-on and unaccompanied baggage, metal detectors, air-conditioned lounges,
exclusive baggage boarding area, free Wi-Fi availability, accessibility for people with special needs, audiovisual communication system, fashion and accessory stores, pharmacy, coffee shops,
snack bars, currency exchange counter, ATMs, over 75 bus parking spaces, first aid clinics, passenger parking, among others.
On February 8, 2008, Concais received nine ships in just one day, setting a national record. On that day, 35 thousand tourists passed through Concais, consolidating the terminal as the largest, most modern, and safest in the country to receive cruises.
Over 25 years, the Terminal has welcomed 13.5 million passengers through nearly 3,600 calls from 321 ships. Comparing numbers, in the first season (1998), we received 8 ships with 94.7 thousand passengers, while the most recent season (2023/24) is expected to host 15 ships and 914 thousand cruise passengers.
Founded on January 26, 1546, Santos has its origins intertwined with the arrival of the first Portuguese colonizers in Brazil. The municipality is situated on the São Paulo coast, 72 kilometers from the capital. It is home to the Southern Hemisphere’s main port, which plays a pivotal role in the city’s economic dynamics and local tourism.

The city is also the capital of maritime cruises, with the Giusfredo Santini Passenger Terminal – Concais being the busiest in the country. For the Summer 2023/2024 season, approximately 2.8 million tourists are expected in our region. The city continually invests in hotel infrastructure, offering accommodations for all standards of demand.
Furthermore, its cuisine reflects its coastal identity, centered around fish and seafood. Culture, history, and ecology converge in the wealthiest city on the São Paulo coast, offering various activities such as theaters, art galleries, and the coffee exchange.
